Observations: <br /> <br />On normal Improvement projects, this action is on the consent agenda, however, due to <br />the size of the construction project ($6 - $7 million), Staffwanted to provide an <br />oppommity for the City Council to discuss the project. The majority of the properties <br />have been settled but we intend on completing the negotiations before awarding the <br />Contract to the lowest responsible bidder. Attached to this case is a schedule for the next <br />steps in the process provided by Bolton & Monk as well as a preliminary cost estimate of <br />the project based on the plans submitted. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of the plans and specifications and authorization for <br />advertisement for bids.
