Absent: Commissioners Jensen and Nixt. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />1) City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated January 25, 2000 <br />2) City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated February 8, 2000 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request for Conditional Use Permit to Amend Outdoor Recreational Uses; <br />Case of Diamonds Sports Bar <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:17 <br />p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairman Anderson called the public hearing to order at 7:17 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Assistant Barnett stated that the City Council granted Diamonds <br />Sports Bar a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) on March 24, 1998. The site plan for the outdoor <br />recreational uses included softball, volleyball and broomball. The applicant is requesting that <br />their current CUP for outdoor recreational uses be amended to include batting cages, a splat ball <br />course, horse shoe pits, basketball and roller hockey in the summer and boot hockey in the <br />winter. The applicant is proposing to incorporate two batting cages, one would be located <br />between the existing ball fields #2 and #3 and the second cage would be between fields #2 and <br />#1.
