Citizen Input <br /> <br />Terry Nelson, 18040 Vanadium Street, questioned how the new residents would be assessed in <br />relation to the way the residents on Vanadium Street are assessed. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated the developer would be required to imProve 178th Lane west of <br />Vanadium Street and the new residents of the proposed plat would not be assessed for street <br />maintenance in the Rodeo Hills subdivision. Residents of Valley View would be assessed for <br />street maintenance west of Vanadium Street. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Kociscak, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Johnson, Kociscak, <br />Dempsey, and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Nixt. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson called the meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Kociscak, to approve the <br />Preliminary Plat for Valley View, contingent upon compliance with City Staff Review Letter <br />dated March 30, 2000. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Johnson, Kociscak, <br />Dempsey, and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Nixt. <br /> <br />Case #3: Request for Rezoning of Millard Ponds; Case of Bulow, Inc. <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson stated the public hearings for Case #3 and #4 have been closed, and stated <br />he would like to discuss both items at one time. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Planner Rasmussen explained that Chris Bulow is requesting a rezoning of property <br />proposed to be platted as Mallard Ponds to facilitate the development of detached townhomes, <br />twinhomes and a future apartment complex. On March 6, the Commission continued the request <br />for rezoning to a special meeting on March 20, along with the request for preliminary plat <br />approval. On March 20, the Commission tabled both cases and requested that the Developer <br />explore other options for the street layout. On March 28, the developer attended a City Council <br />Work session to obtain their input to the street layout options prior to going back to the Planning <br />Commission.
