Absent: CommissionerNixt. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at <br />7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson stated that staff is recommending that the City permit two cows on the <br />property and the applicant has requested three cows and questioned if staff was aware o£ how the <br />applicant felt about staff's recommendation. <br /> <br />Community Development Assistant Wald explained that she has had discussions with Mr. Sigler <br />regarding staff's recommendation and he indicated that he would like to keep as many of the <br />cows on the property as possible because he views the animals as pets. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wivoda inquired if the cows are kept inside. <br /> <br />Community Development Assistant Wald replied that Mr. Sigler has a pasture and a barn. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wivoda replied that he would recommend tabling the item so that questions could <br />be asked of the applicant. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kociscak stated that he would be inclined to go ahead with approving the <br />conditional usc permit for the two cows. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson stated that he was also inclined to approve the conditional use permit for <br />tWO COWS. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dempsey inquired as to how many horses would be allowed on the property. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/June 6, 2000 <br /> Page 3 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
