Mr. Schinzel stated that he was told by City Engineer Jankowski that T.H. ~47 cannot be further <br />developed because of the wetlands. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that the City needs to comply the wetland regulations. <br /> <br />Mr. Schinzel questioned how is the City not going to upset the wetlands and still maintain a safe <br />highway. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that the improvement project currently under way is affecting a <br />small portion of wetland. <br /> <br />Commissioner Nixt suggested redrafting the ordinance to be more flexible. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson inquired if the Commission should continue the public hearing. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied yes. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Nixt, to continue the public <br />hearing to August 1, 2000. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Johnson, Nixt, Dempsey, <br />Kociscak, and Reeve. Voting No: None. Absent Commissioner Wivoda. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to hold a work session on July 18, 2000 at 6:00 p.m. to <br />discuss the issue further. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request for an Interim Use Permit for a Temporary Office Structure; Case <br />of Amcor Precast, Inc. <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 9:30 <br />p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson called the public hearing to order at 9:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Assistant Wald stated that on December 18, 1997, the City issued a <br />second interim use permit to Amcor Precast at 6640 Industry Avenue NW, Ramsey, for the <br />utilization of a 24' x 60' modular office structure until June 1, 1999 to complete their assessment <br />of space needs and possibly developing the site as a permanent location. Amcor is requesting <br />another two year interim use permit to continue utilizing a temporary office structure on their <br />property.
