The public hearing closed at 9:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at <br />9:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Findings of Fact relating to a request from Transwest, Inc. for an interim use <br />permit for the utilization of a temporary office structure. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Commissioner Nixt questioned where it would be appropriate to address the <br />landscaping issue. Community Development Director Frolik replied that staff would negotiate a <br />plan with the applicant before the City Council meeting. Commissioner Dempsey stated that the <br />area facing C.R. # 116 looks bad and for that reason the berming along C.R. #116 should be a <br />requirement of the permit. Consensus was to include the landscaping and berming as a condition <br />to the permit. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Nixt, Johnson, Dempsey, <br />Kociscak, and Reeve. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Wivoda. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Dempsey, to recommend approval of <br />Transwest's request for use of a temporary office structure based on the findings of fact and <br />contingent upon complying with the landscaping plan as recommended by City staff. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Nixt, Dempsey, Johnson, <br />and Reeve. Voting No: Commissioner Kociscak.
