Public Hearing <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Kociscak called the public hearing back to order at 7:58 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Director Fr°lik stated that the applicant has requested that the issue be <br />tabled until the November Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Dempsey, seconded by Commissioner Wivoda, to continue the public <br />hearing until the November Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Vice-Chairperson Kociscak, Commissioners Dempsey, Wivoda, <br />Griffiths, and Reeve. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Proposed Ordinance to Establish Density Standards for New Residential <br />Development Adjacent to Existing Single Family Development <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Kociscak closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at <br />8:00 p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Kociscak called the public hearing back to order at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Hoisington Koegler Consultant Gordon stated that the Chapter 9 Subcommittee met on <br />Thursday, September 28, 2000, and the entire Planning Commission was invited to attend and <br />participate in a discussion of the ordinance draft thus far. Some of the general comments <br />included that the ordinance should focus on tiering density and trade-offs such as landscape <br />buffers may be considered. A three tier system was suggested; the first tier at one acre, 2nd tier at <br />½ acre, and the third tier would achieve the 10,800 square foot lot permitted under urban single <br />family uses. Other amenities such as highways, parks, rivers, wetlands, etc., may also suffice for <br />a tier, or two if the distance is there. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />Jeffery Menth, 14726 Ramsey Boulevard, Ramsey, questioned if something was being changed. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/October 3, 2000 <br /> Page 9 of 16 <br /> <br /> <br />
