NOTE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />1) City Council regular meeting minutes dated September 13, 2000 <br />2) City Council work session minutes dated September 26, 2000 <br />3) City Council regular meeting minutes dated September 26, 2000 <br />4) City Council regular meeting minutes dated October 10, 2000 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request to Rezone Certain Property from I-Industrial to B-2 Business; Case <br />of The Menkveld Company and Casey's General Stores, Inc. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:10 p.m. in <br />order to call the public hearing back to order. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the public hearing back to order at 7:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that Casey's General Stores, Inc. had applied for <br />a rezoning from I-Industrial to B-2 Business in order to develop a Casey's General Store in the <br />southwest quadrant of the intersection of 1490` Avenue NW and Ramsey Boulevard NW. The <br />public hearing regarding the request was scheduled for the regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission in October. Just prior to the meeting date, City staff received a call from the <br />applicants stating that the proposed site layout conflicted with a State setback requirement. <br />Underground fuel tanks are supposed to be at least 300 feet from any residential.dwelling and the <br />way the site was laid out in Ramsey, the underground tank was within 300 feet of a home on the <br />north side of 149th Avenue. The applicants requested that their case be tabled until the November <br />meeting to allow them time to assess the situation and possible solutions. At the October <br />meeting, the Planning Commission called the public hearing to order and at staff's request <br />continued the hearing and case to the November agenda. Subsequent to the October meeting of <br />the Planning Commission, Casey's General Stores submitted a letter requesting that their case be <br />withdrawn from consideration. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Kociscak, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/November 6, 2000 <br /> Page 2 of 21 <br /> <br /> <br />
