Ajthough Anoka
has enough pointS, the next project below us has been recommended for funding
instead.
We believe this is an incorrect interpretation of the poliCy and that the Ramsey and
Anoka projects are in two separate corridors and therefore both should be funded. We
believe the City of Ramse,/s project is in a busway corridor and the City of Anoka's
project is in a commuter rail corridor.
At this time, the City of Anoka is requesting a letter of support from the Ramsey City
Council to award funding for both projectS.
The next time this item will be discussed will be February l, 2006, at the Transportation
Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting. We would like to present our unified position at
that meeting.

Thank you for your consideration of this request.

Respectfully,

Bjorn E.
