will be discussed with the County Public Works Committee prior to being brought before the <br />County Board. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman recommended hiring Hakanson Anderson to develop a profile for <br />the area. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to <br />recommend City Council hire Hakanson Anderson to develop a profile for the area relating to <br />Improvement Project #99-68. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmember Zimmerman, and Councilmember Hendriksen. <br />Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen suggested sending a letter to the residents stating that the City is <br />incurring the cost to complete the engineering and feasibility study to complete the project, but <br />the City does not have the funds available to complete the project in the near future and will need <br />participation in the project by the County who the City believes is the primary source of the run- <br />off. The letter should also include the date the item will be presented to the County Public <br />Works Committee as well as list of all of the Board members with their phone numbers and also <br />noting the Dennis Berg is the City's representative. <br /> <br />Case #5: Public Works Committee Starting Time <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to change the <br />Public Works Committee meeting start time to 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmember Zimmerman, and Councilmember Hendriksen. <br />Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE INPUT <br /> <br />1) T.H. #47 <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that he did some research in regards to T.H. #47 being <br />designated as a preservation route. He explained that preservation is designated as roadways that <br />will receive the least amount of money. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired who makes the determination as to the designation a <br />roadway receives. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that he believes the decision is made by the Transportation <br />Advisory Board and the Met Council. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee/January 18, 2000 <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
