By: Chris Anderson, Zoning & Recycling Coordinator
Background:
As part of the 2005 work plan, the EPB participated in this year's Environmental Expo by staffing
a booth and presenting information on the City's wetlands. The 2006 Environmental Expo has
been tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 29. The location of the Expo will again be at the
Ramsey elementary school. A copy of the 2005 work plan has
been included as Exhibit 3.
Observations:
The EPB successfully completed a wetland buffer ordinance, participated in the Environmental
Expo, and participated jointly with the Park & Recreation Board to offer comments on the
greenways portion of the Comprehensive Plan update. Furthermore, the EPB is in the process of
reviewing the Tree Preservation Ordinance.
While the EPB has successfully completed or initiated work on most of the 2005 goals, there are
some that have yet to be addressed. These include environmental outreach, through "vehicles"
such as a wetland buffer guidebook and an environmental page for the City's website, and
