Councilmember Hendriksen stated the School District has not informed Ramsey of the site, what the requirements are, whether they will pay for the site or want it contributed at no cost. He stated that someone has decided the proposal for the technical school would be the high school but he does not know if that would be the fight site. He noted that the Council is not being included in that process. Councilmember Connolly commented on the impact to the surrounding roadways and before Ramsey can say it is serious about this site, they would need more information. Councihnember Hendriksen stated the presumption is if the Northtstar Corridor station is constructed, there are expectations that around it would be certain consistent uses. He stated that he does not know that a high school would be a consistent use since not many high school students would be taking the train to school. He stated these are appropriate questions and he believed a lot of Councilmember Anderson's comments are out of place. Councihnember Anderson stated that all of the site criteria was laid out at the meeting and asked if the Council would like to make an indication of support. Councihnember Hendriksen stated the School District would have to first indicate what the criteria is. Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to schedule a work session on Monday, February 29, 2000, starting at 5:30 p.m. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Pro tern Zimmerman, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, and Anderson. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gamec.
