Councilmember Connolly noted that it has been said there is a problem with air quality in the lower level of City Hall and she suggested that this needs to be taken care of. Councihnember Hendriksen suggested using some of the garage space to convert it to a lunchroom and also to take the lobby area and convert it to office space. There are many options that can be checked out. Councilmember Anderson asked Council's opinion on holding Council meetings at other cities (e.g. Anoka or Andover) until the Chambers is finished at the new fire station. There was not a consensus for that idea. MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT 1) Comprehensive Plan Councilmember Zimmerman mentioned a letter from the Metropolitan Council regarding the City's Comprehensive Plan review. He inquired if the City is going to respond to that letter or if Brad Scheib ofHoisington Koegler is going to respond. Ms. Frolik responded that a reply went to the Met Council on Friday. Councilmember Zimmerman asked if the portion relating to housing goals forces the City into the Livable Communities Act. Ms. Frolik did not think so because Council had not adopted a resolution to that effect. Councilmember Anderson inquired if some of the goals could be re-negotiated, especially the rental requirement, to something that would be more acceptable to the City. Councilmember Zimmerman stated "we can meet the goals, but I do not want Met Council's claw in my back". A question was raised whether or not the City is still collecting SAC and WAC charges and, if so, where are they going. ADJOURNMENT Consensus was to adjourn the work session at 9:57 p.m. .
