City Engineer Jankowski stated that the homeowner would be contacted if it is determined that <br />the culvert needed to be replaced. <br /> <br />Mr. Ekwall questioned if a property could request that their culvert be replaced. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski replied yes. <br /> <br />Joel Barr, 15150 Iguana Street NW, Ramsey, noticed that Iguana Street was lower than Jackal <br />Street and questioned if the cost to pave Iguana Street would be higher because of that difference. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that the project costs are identical. <br /> <br />Mr. Barr inquired if it would be possible to replace his own culvert or if it has to be done by the <br />City. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the City will have bid price in the contract for purchasing <br />and installing of the culvert, but since the culvert is being assessed separately it would be <br />possible to install his own culvert. <br /> <br />Mr. Barr stated that he currently does not have a paved driveway. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that if a driveway is not paved the City will not even consider <br />replacing the culvert. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen suggested that City Engineer Jankowski meet with Mr. Barr if he <br />has concerns about his culvert. <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion can'ied. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Connolly, Hendriksen, <br />and Zimmennan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to accept the <br />feasibility study for the bituminous paving of Iguana Street between 151st Lane and 153ra <br />Avenue, Improvement Project #99-12, with further exploration of the property in question <br />relating to assessment. <br /> <br /> City Council/February 22, 2000 <br /> Page 8 of 27 <br /> <br /> <br />
