WORK SESSION <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Monday, March 6, 2000, in the Senior <br />Community Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Klm Moore-Sykes <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Economic Development Consultant Mike Mulrooney <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the Council work session to order at 5:40 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />#1: Comprehensive Plan Update <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman referred to a letter from the Metropolitan Council regarding the <br />Comprehensive Plan and noted that Hoisington Koegler is waiting for the City to wrap up two <br />issues: - one regarding housing and one regarding septic systems. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued relating to the 7080 septic rule. Councilmember Hendriksen feels that 7080 <br />does not require an inspection and pumping other than that done by the homeowner. He feels if <br />the Met Council wants something more stringent than 7080, they should negotiate. <br /> <br />Mr. Norman asked then if it is our position to have the Met Council show us where we are not <br />complying with 7080. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested getting a copy of septic system rules used by Andover and Oak Grove. <br />He tbougbt you had to show the Met Council that you are watching it - show the intent of the <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session - March 6, 2000 <br /> Page 1 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
