Councihnember Hendriksen agreed that we need to clean up the area but he wasn't sure we <br />would want to get rid of the businesses. He wondered if there are any businesses in violation. <br />He suggested that you need to look at the whole district - you can't really single any out. <br /> <br />Council suggested staff should check to see if Danny's Trannys is in violation of their CUP. <br /> <br />It was suggested that this should maybe be tabled at this point, however, Council would like to <br />know what would be intended for that area. <br /> <br />Concerning the Sauter property - Councilmember Zimmerman suggested doing some better <br />testing on the land. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that clean up should be an offset. <br /> <br />Council authorized soil testing and proceeding with that property. <br /> <br />#5. Capital Improvement Program <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman explained the Capital Improvement Program and Finance Officer <br />Lund summarized the following changes: <br />* Page 35 - move up to year 2000 <br /> <br />· Page <br />Page <br />· Page <br />· Page <br />Page <br />Page <br />· Page <br /> <br />33 - removed (that was that signalization) <br />57 - they incorporated that feasibility study - two projects adopted together <br />59 - to incorporate the whole district <br />68 - City Hall remodeling moved to year 2004 <br />73 - Old town Hall. moved to 2000 <br />75-1/2 - Records Retention in year 2000 for $25,000 <br />2, 3, & 4 - Summarizes everything and puts it in the proper years. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stressed making sure projects are listed in the right years. <br /> <br />The CIP will be taken to the Finance Committee next Tuesday for action. <br /> <br />#6: Rivers Bend Plaza Development <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that the developer has asked for some incentives and we <br />cannot offer TIF. <br /> <br />The "sledding hill" was discussed and would the City consider selling that land that they gave to <br />the City? <br /> <br />Discussion ensued around an aerial photo.
