Mayor Gamec stated that he checked with some other cities and if a septic system is working, it
is considered an "okay" system.

Mr. Connolly inquired if that means "if it flushes, it works?" He talked about having to update
systems before the sale of a house and the cost of that.

Mr. Faust stated that Mr. Connolly is "getting hung up" on one aspect of the sale. When you
look at the "grand scheme", each house is not equal, but they follow a trend and a pattern.

Councilmember Anderson felt that everyone needs to be treated similarly so she agreed that the
value of Mr. Connolly's home should be left as is.

Ms. Gallagher noted that she had deducted $7,000 from Mr. Connolly's valuation following a
review of his property prior to the Board of Review meeting. She had placed a $7,000 increase
on the valuation initially because of possible improvements and since there were none, she
removed that increase.

Mr. Faust added that an additional $1,000 was removed from Mr. Connolly's valuation also.

Mayor Gamec commended Ms. Gallagher on her work.

ADJOURNMENT

Consensus of the Council was to adjourn the reconvene of the Board of Review.

The Board of Review adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
Respect. ful.~d,

[,.~Jo_o~hieling /,~ Deputy City Clerk

Q_dministrator

Board of Review Reconvene - April 24, 2000
Page 2 of 2
