Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to adopt resolution #05-
09-316 regarding Park and Ride - Ramsey Town Center.

Further discussion: Councilmember Jeffrey inquired if there are a certain number of parking
spots that need to be designated. Assistant Public Works Director Olson replied initially when
the City received the first $420,000 grant and discussed the Park and Ride lot they indicated
there would be 140 to 200 stalls designated. When this was concreted to land acquisition there
was no mention of parking stalls. The $2.2 million grant from the Metropolitan Council did not
specify a certain number of stalls, other than that there will be some parking provided. Staff has
determined that this ramp would include 200 additional stalls that would be dedicated for park
and ride during the daytime hours. City Administrator Norman advised the CMAQ grant would
provide the necessary funds for the additional stalls.

Motion carried.
