PUBLIC HEARING/COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing of Improvement Project #00-27 B & B Carpet Sewer and <br />Water Extension <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:10 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that B & B Carpet is developing a facility on Highway #10 <br />on the site of the former Lighthouse Bar. The new facility will require sewer and water, which <br />will need to be extended through the Overhead Garage Door property immediately to the south. <br />B & B Carpet and Overhead Garage Door are the only two properties benefiting from this utility <br />extension and both will be signing waivers to the sixty day period commencing at the close of the <br />public hearing, which allows for petitions against the project. In order to expedite the installation <br />of the utilities to coincide with the completion of B & B building construction, plans and <br />specifications have been prepared. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:11 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council back to order at 7:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen and seconded by Councilmember Connolly to adopt <br />Resolution 00-05-117 authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications, and the solicitation <br />of bid proposal for Improvement Project #00-27, B & B Carpet Sewer & Water extension. <br /> <br />City Council/May 9, 2000 <br /> Page 4 of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
