Mayor Gamee presented John Nelson and Jessie Turness with their badges. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Ed Hamilton, 6615 Highway #10, Ramsey, stated that he was told that items #15 and #25 from <br />the consent agenda would be removed. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied that both the items would be removed from the consent <br />agenda. <br /> <br />Kay Marvin, 155th Avenue and Ramsey Boulevard, requested that a study be completed to allow <br />for a four way stop to be placed at the intersection of 155th Avenue and Ramsey Boulevard before <br />another person is killed in the intersection. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that the request will be forwarded to the Public Works Committee and <br />from there the City will contact the County regarding the issue. He noted that the Public Works <br />Committee will meet on September 19th at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Ms. Marvin inquired if it was possible to receive a history of all the accidents and citations that <br />have taken place at the intersection. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that the information could be received from the Police Department. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman informed the resident that if they would like put together a petition <br />it would help support the issue when it is presented to the County. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that 153rd Avenue is going to be renamed and questioned if <br />they had any suggestions. <br /> <br />Ms. Marvin suggested naming the street in memory of someone who has been killed on the <br />street. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman noted that the City is having a contest to rename 153rd AVenue. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the City of Ramsey had an exchange student through 4-H from Japan <br />that he met with and read a letter from the Mayor of her home town in Japan. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that items #14, #15, and #25 should be removed from the <br />consent agenda and distributed the resolution for consent agenda item #35. <br /> <br />City Council/August 22, 2000 <br /> Page 3 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
