The
reason for two licenses is to allow beer sales at two locations on that day - one at the City Hall
campus and one at Central Park. The celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2000.
The Lions have provided the necessary documents required. Under City Code, it is a permissible
activity to grant a 3.2 beer license to the Ramsey Lions Club. As has been done in the past, City
staff requested that Council waive the $50.00 license fee. The Lions Club is non-profit and
generously gives to the community.

Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to approve
application for the Ramsey Lions Club for two, one-day, 3.2 beer licenses for Happy Days, the
City of Ramsey community celebration to be held on Saturday, September 16, 2000, and waive
the $50.00 temporary 3.2 beer license fee.
