Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to adopt <br />Resolution #00-09-253 adopting assessment for Improvement Project #99-63 on the Waltek <br />property in accordance with the executed agreement. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: <br /> <br />Public Hearing and Levy of Special Assessments for Improvement Project <br />#00-27 (B & B Carpet and City Wide Garage Door Company Sewer and <br />Water Extension) <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 8:43 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 8:43 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that this project extended sanitary sewer and water service to two <br />properties along T.H. #10 NW, City Wide Garage Door Company and B & B Carpet building. <br />The project has been completed and the final costs have been tabulated. Assessable costs have <br />been divided into two categories, lateral costs and trunk costs. Lateral costs are determined by <br />the actual costs associated with constructing a lateral size sewer through each of the benefited <br />parcels. The trunk charge is determined based upon a standard area charge based on the acreage <br />of the land serviced. The final costs have been tabulated and the assessments for each of the two <br />benefited parcels are as follows: <br /> <br />City Wide Garage Door $72,490 <br />B & B Carpeting $64,664 <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Connolly, <br />Anderson, and Zimmennan.
