Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to adopt <br />Resolution #00-09-254 adopting assessments for Improvement Project #99-12 (Iguana Street <br />paving). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Public Hearing and Levy of Special Assessments for Improvement Project <br />#99-63 (Sunfish Lake Boulevard NW Sewer and Water Extension) <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 8:42 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 8:42 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that this project extended sewer and water utilities northbound <br />along C.R. #57 to provide sewer and water availability to five parcels on the west side of Sunfish <br />Lake Boulevard NW. However, during the public hearing, four of the five benefited properties <br />stated their opposition to the project. On October 12, 1999, Council authorized the project as a <br />non-assessment project subject to reaching an agreement with Waltek to pay for their share of the <br />project. Staff recommended executing the agreement with Waltek as a special assessment in the <br />amount of $61,933, the final project cost attributable to this parcel, payable over a five-year <br />period. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was nolle. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
