Public Safety Board Member Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: PSB RESOLUTION #06-01~001 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CONTRIBUTION OF LAND FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW 800 MHz RADIO TOWER WHEREAS, the City of Kamsey Public Safety Board met on January I2, 2006, and received a proposal of construction of a new 800 M_Hz radio tower for the purpose of enhanced radio coverage for public safety; and WHEREAS, the contrbution of land consists of an 80' x 80' piece of property on the northeast comer of the current City Hall campus; and WHEREAS, the Public Safety Board sees this as a ver~ important safety issue for First Kesponders in the City of Kamsey; and WHEREAS, the Public Safety Board is reqdesting support from the Kan~sey Planning Commission and the Kamsey City Council with regard to tb]s project. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PUBLIC SAFETY BOARD OF THE CITY OF'RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Public Safety Board supports the Contribution of land for the purpose of the 800 MHz radio tower construction. 2) That the Public Safety Board believes this is an important safety issue for First Responders for the City of Ramsey. 3) That the Public Safety Board requests the support of this project from the Ramsey Plarm/ng Commission and the Ramsey City Council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Public Sat'cry Board Member Lewandows!d and agreed upon by all members of the Public Safety Board.
