CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a continuance of the regular meeting on Tuesday, <br />December 19, 2000, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />City Engineer Brian Olson <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and called <br />upon Councilmember Connolly to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Steve Simonson, 5165 156t~' Lane, requested that the Council revisit Case #12 from the <br />December 12, 2000 City Council meeting, which is Adopt Ordinance to Establish Density <br />Transition Standards for New Residential Development. He stated that in talking to several <br />residents they have expressed that they are extremely dissatisfied with the vote of the Council <br />and want to know as residents how they should proceed with getting the ordinance adopted. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec read a letter from Ben J. Deemer, 14501 Sunfish Lake Boulevard NW, Ramsey, <br />which stated the following regarding the Density Transition Ordinance and the action taken on <br />December 12, 2000: "It is strongly felt that Council person Hendriksen, in his motion to have <br />the City Attorney look at the petition of an Ad Hoc citizens group for legality and procedure, <br />before they file the petition for action, when that filing is the point when the clock for action <br /> <br />City Council/December 19, 2000 <br /> Page 2 of 19 <br /> <br /> <br />
