Case #11: Report from the Finance Committee <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Presentation by Financial Firm of Juran and Moody; Discussion of Bond Sale for <br />Land Purchase and Public Improvements Regarding the Maken & Sauter <br />Properties <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by <br />Resolution #00-11-315 providing for the competitive <br />obligation taxable tax increment bonds, series 200lA. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt <br />negotiated sale of $1,680,000 general <br /> <br />Motion can'ied. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to adopt <br />Resolution #00-11-316 providing for the competitive negotiated sale of $920,000 general <br />obligation tax increment bonds, series 200 lB. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />2) Approve Elmcrest Park Development <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that the item was forwarded without a recommendation from <br />the Finance Committee to allow the City Attorney time to review the document. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the document looks straight forward, but he would like <br />further clarification if the purchase of the land can be included in the 80% cost requirement. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to adopt <br />Resolution #00-11-314 approving the receipt of the $100,000 CFL Grant and initiating the <br />development of Elmcrest Park, contingent upon the City Attorney verification. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Anderson, Hendriksen, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Request to Reconsider Plan Check Fees for Townhomes <br /> <br />The Finance Committee held a discussion with a developer requesting that the Plan Check Fee be <br />removed for townhome developments after the first plan is reviewed.
