CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, October 24, 2000, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:05 p.m. and lead in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec presented Karen Mercady, Scott Wyrach, and Josh Mattson With a certificate <br />recognizing them for the work they had done at Rivers Bend Park. He explained that as part of <br />Bill Mittlefeldt's class at the Vo-Tech the students are required to complete community projects. <br />This group chose to plant trees and shrubs at Rivers Bend park. <br /> <br />Josh Mattson, stated that they went to local nurseries requesting donations as well as raising <br />funds in the class. As a result of those donations, they were able to plant 40 trees and shrubs at <br />Rivers Bend Park. <br /> <br />Scott Wyrach, stated that the purpose of the project was to get out into the community and make <br />it a better place as well as getting teens involved in the community. <br /> <br />City Council/October 24, 2000 <br /> Page 3 of 31 <br /> <br /> <br />
