Award Contract for Improvement Project #99-51,-153rd Avenue NW/155t" <br />Avenue NW Extension , <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that this case was tabled at the September 26, 2000 meeting, as <br />the City bad not commenced a quick take eminent domain proceeding. Staff has prepared the <br />necessary documents for the court, but staff was made aware that the Council had not passed a <br />resolution authorizing condemnation by eminent domain, which needs to be part of the court <br />submittals. If' the resolution is passed then staff could deposit the funds by the end of the week <br />and the City would have title to the property in early December. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to adopt <br />Resolution #00-10~266 authorizing acquisition of property for the construction of public <br />improvement project #99-51 (153rd Avenue NW/155t~ Avenue NW Extension). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Connolly, <br />Anderson, and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to when the bids will expire for the project. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied 60 days from the day of the bid. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmennan replied that staff could request an extension. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to table <br />awarding of bids for Improvement Project #99-51. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Review and Authorize Staff to Accept Bids for Interior Finishing Work and <br />Tuckpointing the Old Town Hall <br /> <br />Iteln was tabled. <br /> <br />Case #6: Appoint Data Practices Compliance Official for the City of Ramsey <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Moore-Sykes stated that during the 2000 session, the Minnesota <br />Legislature made several revisions to the Government Data Practices Act, Minnesota Statues, <br />Chapter 13. One of these revisions, Subdivision 13, specifically requires that by December 31, <br />2000, "each responsible authority or other appropriate authority in every government entity shall <br />appoint or designate an employee to act as the entity's data practices compliance official."
