Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-01-033 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0751 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM VANAK, LLC, FOR AN EXPANSION OF THE SUNFISH EXPRESS <br />FACILITY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Vanak, LLC, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant," has properly <br />applied for Site Plan approval to expand the Sunfish Express facility in the H-1 Highway <br />Business District on the property generally known as 6401 Hwy. # 10 N.W. and legally described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 2, Block 1, Sunfish Commons, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />("Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a review and <br />recommendation on the site plan for a proposed expansion of the Sunfish Express <br />("Facility"), pursuant to Section 9.03.08 of the Ramsey City Code, on July 7, 2005, and <br />that said meeting was properly advertised and that the minutes of said meeting are hereby <br />incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />2. That the Subject Property is 1.6 acres in size and is zoned H-1 Highway 10 Business <br /> District. <br /> <br />That the surrounding parcels to the east and west are also zoned H-1 Highway 10 <br />Business; the parcels to the north, across the Burlington Northern Railroad, are zoned E-2 <br />Employment. <br /> <br />4. That the property is bounded by Hwy. #10 along the south property line; the parcels on <br /> the south side of Hwy. #I0 are zoned B-2 Business. <br /> <br />5. That the existing building is 8,853 square feet in size and represents a lot coverage of <br /> 11.9%. <br /> <br />6. That the current Facility consists of gasoline sales, convenience store, Taco Johns, car <br /> wash, and vacuum island. <br /> <br />7. That the Applicant is proposing to expand the Facility by 1,742 square feet to facilitate <br /> the addition of an oil and lube bay service to the Facility. <br /> <br /> <br />
