Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmemhers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that interviews have been conducted and the Personnel <br />Committee is recommending offering the position of Community Development <br />Director to a Mr. Mark Banwart. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />offer the position of Community Development Direct or to Mr. Mark Banwart <br />with a start date of November 1, 1988 at a beginning salary of $28,000/ <br />year. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Otto stated that two bids were received for the well at Central Park <br />Park Center; low bidder was E.g. Rennet and Sons. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Bawden to <br />adopt Resolution ~88-211 receiving bids and awarding the contract for the <br />well at the Central Park Park Center to E.H. Rennet and Sons in the amount <br />of $7,267.50. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Otto stated that the bid is based on an estimated <br />depth; there is a per linear foot add-on cost if the well must go deeper; <br />based on projected useage and costs, the specs specified a 4 inch rather <br />than 6 inch pipe. Mmyor Eeimann stated if E.g. Renner's quality of work <br />does not improve from that shown om the municipal well, he will not vote to <br />award bids to Rennet in the future. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Ca~e ~l&: Park~n~ Lot L{~bt{~? For City Ha!! - !~oroveme~t <br /> 88-2a: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that the City received bids for lighting the City gall <br />parking lot; they range from $22,695 to $29,800; engineer's estimate was <br />$16,900. Mr. Raatikka recommended awarding the bid to the Iow bidder and <br />possibly pursuing cost reducing items. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />adopt Resolution #88-212 accepting bids for parking lot lighting for City <br />gall and awarding a contract to Electric Systems of Anoka. <br /> City Council/October 25, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 14 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
