'1

Groundwater

The yearly, mean water-table surface ranges from 12.0 ft of depth in
the north to 8.5 ft of depth in the south part of the proposed Site (refer

to fig. 2).

Two groundwater-supply wells pump water from the upper part of the
upper or shallow aquifer (figs. 2 & 8) beneath the Bladholm property. One
is located on the north side of the concrete-pipe manufacturing building
(fig. 1), the south limit of which is shown in figure 2. The other well is
located about 500 ft northeast of the southeastern corner of the proposed
Site and on the east side of the Main or Office Building (fig. 1). The
latter well was completed on July 30, 1983 to about 102 ft of depth, is
constructed with a 6-in casing and wellscreen, and has a current pump
setting at about 80 ft (exhibit d, appendix C). It is estimated that the
well is pumped at a rate of about 45 gpm for a few hours each business day.
No water well record information is currently available (7) on the second or
pipe-manufacturing-building well. As observed at the site, the well is
constructed with a 6-in casing. It is probably comparable to the Office
Building well as to total depth, pump setting and groundwater yield.

Structures

The concrete-pipe manufacturing plant is located about 250 ft north of
the north limit of the proposed Site (figs. i & 2).

Utilities

The route of a 3-in steel gas pipeline (North Central Public Service
Company) in the southeast part of the proposed Site is depicted on figures 3
through 6.

8803 12

R.K.
