Case #9: Request for Comprehensive Plan Amendment; Case of GM Land Development Company Assistant Community Development Director/HRA Executive Director Frolik suggested that Item #4 of the resolution be amended to establish that the amendment shall be effective upon City Council ratification of Metropolitan Council action rather than concurrent with Metropolitan Action. following amendment to item no. 4 of the resolution Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Resolution #05- 11-389 authorizing staff to submit the Comprehensive Plan Amendment to Metropolitan Council, with Item #4 of the resolution amended as follows:: change "....shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification of approval from Metropolitan Council" to ".....shall become effective upon City Council ratification of Metropolitan Council action." Case #10: Request to Rezone Certain Property from B-1 Business and Public/Quasi- Public to Planned Unit Development, and R-1 Residential to Public/Quasi- Public; Case of GM Land Development Assistant Community Development Director/HRA Executive Director Frotik indicated the rezoning ordinance can be introduced tonight or it can be introduced after heating from the Metropolitan Council regarding the Comprehensive Plan Amendment. Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to adopt Resolution #05- 11-390 adopting Findings of Fact #0747 relating to a request fi.om GM Land Development to rezone certain property fi.om B-1 Business and Public/Quasi-Public to Planned Unit Development; and R-1 Residential to Public/Quasi-Public. Further discussion: Councilmember Elvig invited the developer to speak and commented that the development looks very good.
