A description of the <br />construction engineering services is presented in the following sections. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />1. Staking and Surveying <br />We will perform staking for the construction of the sanitary sewers and watermains. In addition, <br />construction staking for associated project related ditch cleaning would be provided. Surveying of <br />property lines and easements for the construction of the sanitary sewers and watermains will be <br />performed. <br /> <br />2. On-Site Observation <br />We will provide an on-site representative to assist the City staff in performing construction observation. <br />The on-site observation services will include the following items: <br /> <br />· Act as the City's liaison with contractors. <br /> Observe the construction work to determine if work is, in general, proceeding in accordance with <br /> the contract documents. <br /> <br />· Maintain log of site conditions during on-site observations. <br /> <br />· Coordination of material testing services and documentation of results. <br /> <br />· Coordination of site/field staking and surveying services. <br /> <br />· Attend preconstruction and progress meetings. <br /> <br />· Identify to the City and contractor when clarification or modifications to contract documents are <br /> necessary. <br /> <br />· Conduct post-construction inspections and prepare written documentation. <br /> <br />G:~ramsey\OlsonLT5 -SanSwr-Wtrmains.doe <br /> <br />-204- <br /> <br /> <br />
