-28- <br /> <br />The consensus of the Council was that the road should not be posted with no-parking signs at <br />this time, as there have not been any issues with the road. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec directed staff to schedule the update of this road as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Mr. Bauer inquired if there will be a chance for the neighbors to come to an agreement if this <br />upgrade is included in the CIP. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied there is an option, but the consensus of the Council appears to be to move <br />ahead with the road upgrade. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson stated the 2007/2012 CIP will not likely be approved <br />until the end of 2006. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec directed staff to look into the alternative of including this upgrade with the <br />upcoming sealcoating and blacktopping projects. <br /> <br />3) 2006 Objectives & Work Plan <br /> <br />The Council discussed the 2006 Objectives and Work Plan. The following suggestions and <br />changes were made to the plan: <br /> <br />Community Development <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig suggested the following additions: · Advocate for middle school <br /> · Complete a fiscal impact model for Ramsey Crossings <br /> <br />Building and lnspections Work Plan <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested interns be utilized for the scanning workload. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey suggested students at the Anoka/Ramsey Technical College may be <br />interested in assisting as interns. <br /> <br />Economic Development Work Plan <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested some of the items addressing communication with businesses be <br />combined. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman suggested a Town Center subheading be added with the following <br />items: <br /> · Work with the Core Project Manager to coordinate the Town Center project <br /> · Initiate the cinema project <br /> · Development of Central Village Square Park <br /> · Begin process to develop commercial area west of Armstrong Boulevard. <br /> <br /> City Council Work Session / February 7, 2006 <br /> Page 6 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
