The decrease is necessary to offset <br />a decrease in the wholesale cost of gas we have received from <br />Northern Natural Gas Company, our supplier to your service area. <br /> <br /> Northern's decrease results from the elimination of the <br />Louisiana First Use Tax surcharge in compliance with Federal <br />Energy Regulatory Commission Order dated June 29, 1981. As a <br />result, North.Central will be decreasing all Firm rates for <br />natural gas by $0.00096 per hundred cubic feet (HCF).
