S. Environments1 <br />Protection Agency (EPA) representative was asked to periodically repca-t <br />on the status of the Minneap~lls wastewater treatment project. The first <br />status repot was sent to you by letter dated April 9, 1981. <br /> <br />An update of the project Status follows: <br /> <br /> o The EPA regional office in Chicago (Region v) has not yet <br /> received the State certified facilities pl~ fcr the project. <br /> <br />Region V indicates that .uncertainties about funding availability <br />have slowed progress on the project and on negotiations f~ a <br />consent decree with the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />EPA Headquarters representatives have had prelimin~y discus- <br />sions with Region V regarding the water quality analysis fc~ the <br /> <br /> project. <br /> <br />If I can be of further assistance, please advise. <br /> <br /> .~.' ncerel:~, : _ <br /> <br /> Larry H~low <br /> Acting Dir ec tc~ <br />Office of Legislation <br /> <br /> <br />
