j. ,.,!AI" ~~( ,or REPORT ON FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR FORD BROOK ESTATES BITUMINOUS STREET PAVING SCOPE: The purpose of this study is to determine ,the feasibility of providing bituminous streets to serve the above referenced area. This report further provides a cursory review of the existing drainage system within,the project area. The project area lies within the NW 1/16 of Section 1, and the NE 1/16 of Section 2, Range 25 West, Township 32 North, City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota. The project area is generally bounded by the City of Ramsey limits on the nort~, the east plat line of Ford Brook Estates on the east; County State Aid Highway ~ No.7 on the south, and the west plat line of Ford Brook Estates and State High- way No. 47 on the west. The project area is shown on Exhibit A. EXISTING CONDITIONS: The present street network consists of a rural street section with a gravel or sand surface approximately 22 to 24 feet in width. An inspection of the area revealed tha~ the existing drainage facilities are generally adequate.:, However several areas lack positive outlets and drainage ponds in the ditches and low'. . areas and percolates into the ground. The remaining drainage flows to high~ay ditches and an existing swamp within the park area. . PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS: ... Since the present street and drainage system can provide an operational street and drainage system with minor modifications, it is ou~~ reco~~endation that the , " present rural street section be maintained. This would limit the disruption to the abutting property and minimize the costs of the improvement. STREET IMPROVEMENT: . The_ exi sti ng streets are proposed to be wi dened and shaped to accommodate a · minimum 'street width of 26 feet.
