, i.r ,,,,,' The street section proposed would be narrower than the City of Ramsey's rural street section, but would minimize disruption to the adjacent lots during con- struction sfnce the street wid~h proposed .generally follows the present stre~t section width. The street secti'on proposed as shown on Exhibit B consists of a 3 inch gravel base with a 1~" bituminous surface. This section is equivalent to a 5-ton design in accordance to the Department of Transportation specifications.' This section has been previously'u'sed in the city and other communities. It is esti- mated that this street section has a life expectancy of 15 years with minimal maintenance. The proposed construction would not include any driveway construction with the- ~xcePtion of a one foot apron which would be provided to protect the edge of the pavement. It would be the homeowner's responsibility to extend existing bituminous or concrete driveways to match the street; STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT: The present storm drainage system appears to be functional with the exception of the need for two cross-street culverts as show~ on Exhibit A. It is proposed . . to obtain drainage easements over existing ditches outside the right-oJ-way and ..over low areas where ponding pres~ntly occurs. Ditch cleaning, adjusting and.
