CASE #10: AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE AIR COMPRESSOR, REQUEST FOR: <br />Enclosure (D3 -i) contains the price quotes that the Public <br />Works Superintendent got for the purchase of an air compressor. <br />The 1981 Budget under Street Maintenance, Account 101 -4212, <br />Line Item 1510, provides $2,000 for the purchase of an air <br />compressor (Page 63). <br />Council Action Your action will be to approve /disapprove <br />of the request to purchase the Sears Air Compressor which <br />is the low price quote. If you approve of purchasing the <br />above piece of equipment, the Council should adopt the resolu- <br />tion contained in the above enclosure. <br />CASE #11: TREES IN DITCH CUT BY ROADSIDE MOWING AT 17765 TONTO STREET NW, <br />TIM KASTER - HOMEOWNER <br />Mr. Kaster is quite irritated that the City cut trees that were <br />planted in the ditch at his place when the City was mowing. <br />Enclosure (D3 -j) contains the following documents: <br />a) Public Works Superintendent's memo dated July 21, 1981 <br />on this case <br />b) Mr. Kaster's letter dated July 22, 1981 regarding this <br />case <br />Mr. Kaster is requesting compensation for the loss of these trees. <br />I did go up and look at the situation with Merle and I have to <br />concur with Merle's recommendation. <br />Council Action Your action will be to approve /disapprove of <br />Mr. Kaster's request. <br />CASE #12: FINANCE: <br />The following is submitted as enclosure (D3 -k) for Council to <br />review, note, or act on: <br />a) Tax Settlement from County - This represents our first <br />installment for 1981 levy to finance the 1981 budget. <br />b) Letter from Minnesota Department of Revenue regarding <br />the forwarding of State Aid, Homestead Credit, Attached <br />Machinery and Wetland funds. It should be noted that <br />the Homestead Credit Aid for $43,102.16 and Wetlands <br />Credits $364.36 all reduce your 1981 tax levy by that <br />amount of money. <br />c) League Action Alert Bulletin - Council may want to <br />express their opinion on this issue as it could have <br />a big affect on Ramsey. <br />
