Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilwoman Van Wagner to close the public hearing. Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilwoman Van Wagner, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Cox and Councilman Sorteberg. Voting no: None. The public hearing was closed at 8:59 P.M.. V. Public Hearing - 9:00 P.M. 151 Ave, 152 Ave. and Fluorine St. Project #817-5 City Engineer Raatikka discussed the proposed consideration of making a tarvia street improvement and a proposed bituminous overlay. Mayor Gamec asked for citizen input. Citizen Gary Solmenson, 5520 152nd Avenue.asked if there . would be an easement for a ditch. City Engineer Raatikka stated yes, an.open ditch with a 1 1/2 foot drop. Citizen Dick Hartman, 5515 152nd, came before the Council and stated he works for the City of Minneapolis and in no way is in favor of the project. Citizen Simonson, 5545 152nd, came before the.Council and stated no one drives on-the.-road, the.road'has changed. Citizen Ed Eckelson, 15110 St. Francis.-.Boulevard came before the Council.and stated he is against the,project if water and sewer comes in. • Citizen Mark Bredenberg, 5450 152nd Avenue, came before the Council and stated he is in opposition.to the proposed project. Citizen John Ebert, 5414.15 , came before the Council and stated the grader does a.great.job - and he doesn't think the project is necessary. Mayor Gamec took a straw vote at this.time (one person per household, 15 residents present) Only two in favor of project.
