PROCEEDINGS OF THE COUNCIL PERSONNEL COMMITTEE CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey Council Personnel Committee met on July 22, 1981, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, Ramsey, Minnesota. The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. this date. Members Present: Councilmember AlrSorteberg Also Present: Lloyd G. Schnelle, City Administrator /Clerk Merle Mevissen, Public Works Superintendent Erik Sandin, Anoka Union Reporter The purpose of the meeting was to interview candidates for the position of public works man which will have a vacancy upon the retirement of Mr. 1981. The Public Works Superintendent, Mr. Mevissen, the Council Richard Buchite. He submitted to il his Letter of intent to retire effective October 31, August 1, 1981. has requested that the position be filled by g The City Administrator informed the Council Personnet that he was Public Works Superintendent had screened all the applicants submitting the following five persons for the Council Personnel Committee to interview: Mr. David Hauan Mr. Richard Gebeau Mr. Michael Simons Mr. Daryl Sathoff Mr. Donald Berg The Council Personnel Committee further received a list of peoples names that had submitted job application forms but were not selected for in— terview. This list is being attached to the minutes as enclosure (11)) . The City Administrator informed the Personnel s be called e in for an intern t list who they felt was qualified view they should so inform City Staff. The Council Personnel Committee conducted the interview of all the five (5) City Staff members the o interviewing portion. Councilmember Sorteberg asked Merle Mevissen who he preferred of the five Mr. David Hauan because of his candidates. Mr. Mevissen stated he preferred knowledge of the City and of the City equipment.
