D. HOUSING <br /> <br />HOUSING <br /> <br />R~m~ey is not currently part of the Metropolitan Urban Ser- <br />vice ~rea. However, a portion of Ramsey is scheduled to be <br />added to the urban service area between 1981 - 1990. As <br />portions of R~nsey become more urbanized, a more deliberate <br />effort is necessary to assure that the housing needs of this <br />region of the metropolitan area are met. Housing progr~m~ <br />R~m~ey will initiate when utilities are available include: <br /> <br />1) Allowing 6,000 square feet lots for single f~m~lyhomes <br /> which are part of a Plsmuned Up_it Development. <br /> <br />2) Allow multiple family densities as high as 20 units per <br /> acre. <br /> <br />3) Encourage developers to use of Minnesota Housing Finance <br /> Agency for financing multiple fsm~ly developments. <br /> <br />4) Encourage construction of energy efficient housing. <br /> <br />5) Adoption of a truth-in-housing ordinance. <br /> <br />100 <br /> <br /> <br />
