pUBLIC HEARING <br /> City of Ramsey <br /> Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Ihzrsuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Council held <br />a public he,ring regarding House Sizes to consider revision to City Code <br />170.015I Section 8 on October 28, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303® <br />MemberS Present: Mayor Camec <br /> Councilman Sorteberg <br /> Councilman Reimann <br /> Councilman Mickelson <br /> CouncilmauCox <br /> Mayor Camec called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and led in the <br /> Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> Mayor Gamec said the average home valuation in Ramsey is $60,000 range <br /> and-the income required to move into a home of~thisrprice-is $23,000 <br /> making opportunities to move to Ramsey impossible. Ramsey citizens <br /> came in with a petition requesting that the house size regulation be <br /> changed back to the original requirements. <br /> Mr. Duane William~e' N.W. Hi hPointDevelo ment <br /> Mr. Williams said that years ago, he built a home and now a change waS <br /> made in the code that affects his property. He said 25% of the <br /> development he lives in is developed at this time. He recommended <br /> doing this to new areaS but not changing the rules for developments <br /> already in process. <br /> planning & Zoning Commission Member Ben Deemer directed the council's <br /> attention to the P & Z minutes on the subject. <br /> There were.no other comments. <br /> Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Cox <br /> to close the public hearing. <br /> Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Camec,'C°uncilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br /> Mickelson and Cox.
