O~F1CIAL CONTROLS <br /> <br />In Ramsey the official controls include all local ordinances, <br />.however, the most significant are: <br /> <br />Zoning Ordinance - The basic purpose of the zoning <br />ordinance is to establish minimum requirements and <br />standards for the utilization of land and structures <br />within the City. This involves the establishment of <br />various zoning districts, each with different allowable <br />uses. <br /> <br />Subdivision Ordinance - Subdivision regulations establish <br />procedureal and performance standards for the planning of <br />land for future development. <br /> <br />The following is a list of changes that will be made to the <br />city's ordinances as a result of the planning effort: <br /> <br />Issue <br /> <br /> Adoption <br />Prosram Date <br /> <br />Adopt Environmental <br />Protection Ordinance. <br /> <br />1. See Critical Area Plan and Wild 1. 12/80 <br /> Service a~d Recreation of River <br /> Ordinance. Ramsey has environ- <br /> mental protection ordinances which <br /> were the product of this planning <br /> process. The City has been <br /> negotiating with the DNR and EQB <br /> regarding these ordinances. <br /> <br />Amend existing zoning 2. <br />ordinance reflecting <br />densities and permitted <br />use standards suggested <br />in the plan. <br /> <br />Zone, densities, and permitted <br /> <br />a) R-1 - 2.5 acres - single <br /> family residential. <br />b) UR - 10,800 sq. ft. - single <br /> family residential. <br /> UR - 6,000 sq. ft. - per unit <br /> with PUD, single family and <br /> duplex. <br /> UT~-M - 3,000 sq. ft./unit - <br /> multiple family. <br /> UM]3-H -_2,100 sq._ft./unit ~.._ <br /> multiple family. <br /> UB-C - Local Neighborhood <br /> Convenience Center. <br /> UB - Neighborhood Shopping <br /> Center. <br /> B-1 - Highway Oriented <br /> Commercial <br /> I - Within the zoning ordinance <br /> distinguish between: <br /> IP - Compatible with sur- <br /> rounding land use districts. <br /> IG - Not compatible with other <br /> urban uses, and thus set apart. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />d) <br /> <br />e) <br /> <br />f) <br /> <br />g) <br /> <br />h) <br /> <br />2. 7/8l <br /> <br />98 <br /> <br /> <br />
