He recommended that Waste Management's proposal of a colored metal <br />building (white roof and green walls to match the landfill slopes) <br />be approved. <br />Mayor Gamec asked if it should be stipulated that the building be <br />a temporary building. <br /> Discussion followed on the proposed building site. <br /> City Administrator Schnelle said most of the noise would be from <br /> the burning off of the methane gas. They told him it would sound <br /> like an air conditioner. <br /> Both the councilmembers and the residents present expressed concern <br /> about the noise it would cause. Building Official Berg was irmtructed <br /> to notify Waste Management to do something about the noise. <br /> Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to <br /> authorize Building Official Berg to issue a permit for the construction <br /> of a 20 x 20 metal building which will be green in color to blend in <br /> with the terrain for the pu~ose of housing pumps for methane extraction. <br /> Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor G~mec, Councilmen Sorteberg, ReimaZ~u, <br /> Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> SETTING PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED use OF REVENUE SHARING FUNDS. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said council should look at the fact that the City may <br />be cut back when doing the budget. <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconied by CounCilman Sorteberg to <br />set a public hearing forproposed use of revenue sharing funds for <br />the last regular council meeting on November 25, 1980. <br />Motion cs_tried. The Board of Adjustment Paragraph 170.018 <br />of the City Code usurps staff time in that it is administrative <br />burden. It also is an expensive cost factor to people who have to <br />go this route. Urban Development Permit (Site and Design Plan) <br />usurps staff time in that it becomes an administrative b~-xten.
