He said all not only usurp staff time, but Planning & Zoning Commission and Council Time. H~esaid the staff doesn't have time to cover the Weed Ordinance Paragraph ll0.141 of the City Code. He said Keeping of Certain Animals Section ll0.09 pertaining to keeping of cows, goats and pigs should be t~ken out and rewritten to require application for a Conditional Use Permit. He said starting in March, the City is swamped with call regarding the Dogs and Cats Section llO.03 of the City Code. He said the Horse Ordinance, llO.07 of the City Code should come under Conditional Use. He said the City currently has three incoming telephone lines which really play havoc and he recommended restricting the number of incoming calls to having only one incoming line, but keeping three outgoing lines. Mayor Gamec said he would be against having only one incoming llne because it would be making City Mall less accessible to the public and would be restricting the City's contact with the people. Me said people should be able to get a hold of people at City Hall. Councilman Sorteberg suggested cutting the incoming lines down one line and giving it a try. Mayor Gamec said he agreed the phone can be busy. He suggested t~ying to limit the time of the calls. Councilman Reimann suggested taking their name and problem and calling them back after getting the answers for them~ Mayor Gamec felt that limiting the phone was a poor way to cut costs. City Administrator Schnelle said there are several people tied up on the phone and they can't get things done in the time they want to do it. He didn't feel three lines were needed. Councilman Sorteberg said he was for giving two phone lines (incoming) a try. Mayor Gamec said he would be willing to go back to two lines, but not just 8ne incoming line. Councilman Cox said he understood City ~m~nistrator Schnelle's viewpoint. City Administrator Schnelle was instructed to try two incoming phone lines. 2) Public Works Department and Park Department City Administz~tor Schnelle recommended getting contractors in to do the extensive work of cleaning out culverts a~ld putting in culverts where they are needed as this area isn't getting covered.
