CASE #2:

· DELETION OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FOR STREET IMPROV~I~ENT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $2,196,49 REGARDING PLAT 89201 PARCEL 1260;
CASE 0F MR. HAROLD HANSON, 5111 - 179TH AVENUE N.W. (CON-

STRUCTION PROJECT #80-12):

Background Information: Council has denied this request for
deletion of the above stated special assessment as per the
findinE of fact at your meeting of November 10, 1980. Mms.
Hanson didn't realize the date of the Council meeting had
been changed to November 10, 1980 due to the holiday on
November ll, 1980. Consequently, she would like to discuss
the action you took denying their request for deletion of
the above assessment.

CASE #2a:

Council Action: If you grant the request for deletion of the
special assessment you will have to do it by resolution.

DENNIS DONOVAN REGAP~ING PROPOSED PARK BOND ISSUE:

Dennis Donovan will be present to discuss this with the
Council. Please refer to Exhibit "C".

CASE #3:

CITY ~22F~SOR TO DISCUSS WITH COUNCIL IN REGARDS TO RESIDENTIAL
VALUATION ASSESSMENT M~DE IN 1981 FOR 1982:

This issue has been before the Council since your first regular
meeting in September. Council has requested certain documentation.
Consequently, it is requested that you refer to Case #2 of D-2
(Council 01d Business) of your agenda dated October 14, 1980.

Secondly, due to loss of man hours on the Board of Review we
have run into a time shortage of man hours to co~lete necessary
book work on certain aspects of the assessors work which is the
updating of the assessing books (which represents three-fourts
of the City) ~r. Wirz has stated he will need at least 200
hours (five weeks) of outside assistance on it. I will not
be able to give him any real assistance from our present office
staff.

Council Action: Your action on the first part of th-is case is
not necessary but you should have it noted in the minutes that
yo6 are aware of the direction that the County Assessor's office
has given our assessor which they are recommending a 7% hike be
made in valuation.

Second part to case: The City Assessor, Lester Wirz, has indi-
cated as noted above to me he will need clerical assistance to
cover approximately 200 hours or more. Need Council authority
to hire part time clerical person to accomplish this. Lester
stated in the past his wife has done this for the City. Who
ever we get has to be dependable because they could really
goo£ up the assessing books.
