Gerald Zimmerman asked what was going up by the airport. <br />Building Official Berg said Solderholm's was building an office warehouse there. <br />4. Review Industrial Zoning <br />Ben Deemer asked to have this item deferred because he is planning to have a <br />meeting on'this. <br />Chairman Peterson recommended fitting this issue in with the Site Plan Review. <br />5. Minnesota Environmental Quality Board Letter Dated July 24, 1980 Regarding <br />Ramsey's Critical Area ?Plan <br />Chairman Peterson noted that since the receiving of the EQB letter, there hasn't <br />been anything done regarding the 2' acre lot size, which the letter indicated was <br />inconsistent with the Critical Area Designation Order. <br />c:•rs Pondvale- £states P1S T43in — IF - la Approvallt <br />Ben Deemer said due to a prevailing legal problem, they decided to plan this <br />in stages and they took out the outlot and made it Lot 7, Block 2. <br />City Engineer Raatikka asked if they were going to put in a turnaround on <br />150th. <br />Ben Deemer said they were hoping they wouldn't have to put in a turnaround there. <br />He said they were allowing an easement for a snowplower to turnaround however. <br />Gerald Zimmerman said there still must be a dedicated street there. <br />City Engineer Raatikka said a drainage easement would have to be provided - there. <br />Ben Deemer said they would dedicate the street as an easement for the time being. <br />Motion by Chairman Peterson and seconded by Ben Deemer to recommend to City <br />Council preliminary plat approval of Pondvale Estates and to recommend that: <br />a) No further public hearing be held. <br />b) A temporary cul -de -sac be put on 150th Lane. <br />c) There be a drainage easement off 150th Lane <br />d) All plans be submitted to City Engineer Raatikka for approval. <br />The reason this should be granted is because of legal and financial difficulties <br />which forced the developers to do this in phases. <br />Ron West asked if there would be a problem in the future if the legal problem <br />didn't get resolved: <br />Ben Deemer said if that happened, they would just go to Phase 2. <br />Ron West said that he could see that the legal problem would eventually get <br />resolved, but it would just take time. <br />Motion carried.5 -0.
