SPECIAL COUNCIL <br />City of Ramsey <br />Anoka County <br />State of Minnesota <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Council held a <br />special meeting on September 30, 1980, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br />Members Present: Acting Chairman: Councilman Reimann <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Nickelson <br />Councilman Cox <br />Also Present: City Administrator Schnelle <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br />Acting Chairman Reimann called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />None <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilmen Sorteberg to approve <br />the Agenda. <br />Motion carried. Voting yes - Councilmen Reimann, Sorteberg, Nickelson and Cox. <br />Voting no -None. <br />• COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS (Continuation of Council Agenda of September 23, 1980 <br />Regular Council Meeting) <br />1) Street Surfacing of Tungsten and Drainage of Rivlyn Avenue <br />City Engineer Raatikka reported on his review of the drainage at the intersection <br />of Rivlyn Avenue and Tungsten Street and the possibility of overlaying Tungsten <br />Street. He recommended a drainage inlet be placed on the existing manhole <br />to eliminate runoff from the south side of Rivlyn Avenue from flowing across <br />the street and north unto Tungsten Street and he recommended that the city <br />pick up the residential share of the . <br />cost He recommended that <br />unt a <br />out at the time Rivlyn with lyn is upgraded aded to urban standards. <br />be improved one with one and d one -half inch bituminous overlay including <br />the proposed excavation approximately 150 feet north of Rivlyn Avenue and <br />construction of a swale to drain the water to the storm sewer and widening <br />of the street to 24 feet.
