Observations: <br />Staff preliminarily reviewed the proposed projects for 2024, and determined the majority of plans and <br />specifications can be produced in-house. As called out in the attached summary, four of the projects include <br />engineering design services. Staff feels three of these projects will likely be combined together due to proximity, <br />relatively small project size of two of the projects, and similar project scope and potential impacts. <br />Alternatives: <br />Alternative #1 — Motion to recommend City Council approval of ordering Requests for Proposals for 2024 <br />Capital Improvement Program Project Topographic Surveys, Geotechnical Services, Utility Testing and <br />Engineering Services. <br />Alternative #2 — Motion of other. <br />Funding Source: <br />Funding for these services would come from a combination of Municipal State Aid Funds, Pavement <br />Management Funds, and the respective Utility Funds. Municipal State Aid Funds will fund all non -utility costs <br />for streets proposed for reconstruction that are part of the City's Municipal State Aid System.
